Default sad to go, but....

Hello Tmobile fellow customers I just dropped in to say that it truly breaks my heart to leave Tmobile, after many years of great and loyal service, but I cant wait for 3g any longer. I looked around, and decided that I would give Sprint a try, because they have 3g coverage in my area. I applied for service and got my 9650 BOLD, fired it up, and WOW! Im sorry to say that the speed blew me away! I have been missing out. After only 1 week with Sprint, I am truly satisfied. However, I am NOT here to insult Tmobile, I loved my service and 9700 without, well almost without a single complaint. Waiting on 3g service in my area. I can get in my car and drive 15 miles in either direction an 3g is booming!! But truthfully, the 9650 appears to be a better device than the 9700, and using it tethered as i am, it is AWESOME!! Very fast! If Tmobile ever gets 3g in my area, I will probably be a return customer, but Sprint will have to suffice for now. Good Luck to everyone with Tmo that continues to wait for better service, I just couldnt do it anymore, and I am happy to say that the 9650 and Sprint is much better than Tmobile and my slow 9700. My service agreement with Tmo is paid up til the 15th of Oct, and I am sad it had to end for this reason, because if Sprint, Verizon, and At&t has 3g here in my town, why cant Tmobile?

Have fun with your new phone, which is basically the same as a 9700, but more memory and hair better camra IIRC?

Also will be in line first to receive os6...granted I do believe the processor is better in the 9700, I could have sworn I read that somewhere...

I get 3G on tmobile when I hit the city and EDGE bars at work, but home on wifi, so not a deal breaker for me....

Sprint sucks here...if I left, it would be Big Red for me...but, I am staying with TMobile, need UMA!

Yep sprint isn't good where I am but it's different for different areas. You have to go with what works for you, ya know?

I'm on EDGE right now and it suffices. I'm not one to stream videos a lot but I do Pandora a lot and EDGE works. Still want 3G though.

I think the Bold on Sprint is pretty much the same thing as the 9700 but with the Sprint speeds in your area, it's probably a lot faster than your old 9700 so it's going to be better for you.

Good luck to you. BTW what's your plan? I liked the 69.99 mobile to mobile one but sadly, a lot of people I call are on landlines. My bf, who works with tech, tells me that cell companies have to pay a tariff to the landline companies to connect calls from cells to landlines. So that's how Sprint can offer such a cheap calling plan because it's only mobile to mobile...no tarrifs.

Clever, huh?

Yea I actually switched me and my wife, so i got the $129 m2m plan, bcause i dont think i call anyone on a landline anymore. I tell ya, my wife got the EVO, and i dont care what anyone says, we only get 3g and its blazin, and the EVO actually has me considering gettin android, its the coolest phone ive seen in a looong time. we can hook both laptops to it since it is a mobile WiFi HOTSPOT, and for only $10, and NO 5gig cap, man Im just so happy I switched at the moment. As I said though, I will miss TMO. But I think the 9650 is a better device, or the 3g speed makes it appear better, not really sure?? and i also love the TV and other things Sprint has to offer! Im putting my 2 9700s away though, as 3g may popup here soon!

The EVO is a nice phone. Bet you'd be happy if you got it.

I wonder how T-Mobile will handle wifi hotspots on android. I'm thinking they may go the way of Sprint and not cap it like ATT and VZW does.

Make sure to keep an eye on the T-Mo coverage maps. Yeah they are iffy but I find they are quite accurate in telling who has 3G and who doesn't so I think they update that part often.

i think you made the right choice..
you switched for the Carrier and not because of a phone..
it sounds like you did your research and the plan was well thought off.
good luck with Sprint
