my wife has been asking for an iPhone and I've been telling her that t-mobile doesn't have it. this may be changing. by the way I just got an iPad and I love it.

Eh, I don't know. I'll believe when I see it, I guess. It just seems kind of far-fetched to me.

Besides, you can already use the iPhone on T-Mobile. The 3G is the only thing that doesn't work.

I think it makes more sense than iPhone going to Verizon because it is CDMA rather than GSM and would require a complete reworking of the electronics. Also, CDMA is an old technology which doesn't allow voice and data at the same time.

Im very skeptical at this, AT&T and Apple are in bed big time. This and the new news of the AT&T "credit" for existing iPhone users to upgrade to the 4G leads me to believe AT&T will have exclusive rights for a long while yet.

dont you think they would have made that announcement at wwdc. especially since SO many people are waiting for it to be released to other carriers.

I highly doubt that iToy is coming to T-Mobile USA. The device is available through T-Mobile UK though.

Unfortunately, articles like this have been published multiple times in the past few years. Some random analyst's opinion is ultimately without meaning.

AT&T has the iPhone until mid 2012. The end. Until a carrier or Apple says another company is getting it, it will remain a rumor.

I truly hope the iPhone does not come to T-Mobile, at least for quite a while. Those of you with TMO who use data regularly should think the same way. AT&T has a much larger data backbone than TMO does, and iPhone users brought it to its knees in some areas with the sheer volume of data they used.

Plus I have enough difficult customers coming through my doors without adding more Apple fanboys to the mix.

actually, the early upgrade offer supports this.

upgrading locks those customers for two more years. otherwise, those up-to-six-months-early folks would be off contract just in time to get a shiny pink iPh4ne...

It'll be just as bad for tech support, if not worse. iPhones don't like to play nicely when they crash, lock up, and randomly do not work. I seriously do not believe that iPhone will ever come to T-Mobile USA.

Yeah I like my fast T-Mobile data just the way it is. AT&T is just plain crap...mostly because of the iPhone. We don't need that over here.
