Either by telling them to upgrade to certain phones they have to change plans or if you want certain features or options added to a plan, your need to change to a plan that is NOT a grandfathered plan or long since discontinued promotional plan you happen to be on, which in most cases, will mean paying more money for the same or fewer features.
Weird how a free feature can't be added unless you are on plans that are active, just not "current".
