Default Remembering unheard of deals of the past.

Only posting deals available at CORPORATE stores.

ANYBODY CAN UPGRADE deal.

It didn't matter what phone or how long you were in contract. It was a couple Christmas's ago and EVERY was eligible for discounted upgrade, no strings No matter if you were not eligible yet or not.

$20 FAMILY DATA
This was before all the Smartphones were popular. They were trying real hard to convince us to purchase data plans. Saw the deal only 2 times at a corporate store on a chalkboard sign. i went through the paperwork to sign up and the in the end told them I changed my mind because who needed data
Jokes on me NOW

FAMILY FOUR PACK
This didn't last to long but in the end worked out great for me. WAs a family plan deal that that gave free N/W, free my favs, free hotspot, and free m2m to everyone on your family plan for a price of $9.99 total. With the plans changing it was a bit useless after awhile but i kept it for JUST IN CASE reasons. Then when the system could no longer hold onto my plan with another plan.....TMO compensated me by dropping it and giving me hotspot for free for all lines.

That was indeed a great deal.

----------------------------------------------------

And now, to show that I've been doing this too long...

$39.99 400 minute minute family plan - First two lines (2005)

Free add-a-line, permanently (2006)

$9.99 BB or Windows Mobile email only plans (Not everyone needs data, I suppose)

$7.99 add-a-line (Not as cool with the $5 adds now, but big news in its time)

$10 home phone, unlimited calls

$9.99 Buddy Time plan. Unlimited text, IM and M2M for single lines

$9.99 Unlimited family messaging bundle (I still see plenty of people who held on to this)

Nokia 3390 Gold. First phone to support AOL IM on a phone (2002)

I have the 9.99 unlimited sms/mms/IM for my single line. But it's called"Pref Unlim Msg" or whatever. Is this the same thing as Buddy Time?

There was also a 9.99 email only BB plan.

And don't forget the Minutes and Mail plan (1000 min/unlim sms/unlim BB data for 59.99)

AHA!!!!!!
I KNEW there was an old $9.99 message plan for single line use. I had a huge argument last year about that one with someone and they acted like I was nuts and since they worked for tmo for YEARS they should know

LOL i had or have alot of the ones mentioned. My parents are still rocking that 400 family time deal and I can't convince them to change it even when I found a better deal last year.

Lost my $7.99 add on because I was an ***** who had a $7.99 contract and felt sorry for the shlup who forgot it changed to 9.99 so I let him off the hook so he wouldn't face tmo wrath for signing me up wrong.

$10 home phone

Still rocking this deal and LOVING IT. I have an extra unopened tmo router in the wings in case my original needs replacing
I never could figure why more people didn't like this. After awhile they even offered free router and no contract to try this deal HOW COULD YOU LOSE!

Yeah, it definitely exists. If you ask Retentions nicely, they can give it to you. I definitely have it myself and yeah, it's $9.99 and it includes all messages.

Pretty close. Buddy Time was back before unlimited text was as common, and included M2M. The $9.99 text you have is a good deal too.

The email only plan is what I was referring to above. It used to satisfy the MIR requirements too.

Man, I can't believe they argued with you over that. The $9.99 single unlimited was available as a promo as recently as 2008. They couldn't have remembered THAT much about their job.

The $10 home phone was awesome for the people it worked for, and they live by it. Unfortunately, there were too many people that it didn't work for, for whatever reason. Probably half the ones I sold were returned for technical reasons. Too many limitations, like those with monitored house alarms, the need to fax, or multiple rooms with phone jacks. They could be worked around, but once you start explaining what has to be done, people often didn't want to deal with it.

Yeah I think people are moving away from homelines and just having a cell.
I personally am fine with having 49.99 for unlimited min and just having that.

I like my 9.99 txt plan a lot. I can somehow justify paying 9.99 for messages but not 14.99...lol I don't know why!

Yeah I know. my Mom has had it for two years and pays for it but it has never come OUT OF THE BOX. She keeps saying she needs her FAX. So dumb when she faxes like 10 papers a month which she can do with online faxing for like $2. But instead things spending $50 bucks a month for Verizon home phone with faxing makes more sense

My Friend insists its dumb because they need 6 phones. They didn't get they can still use their same six phones and only have to hook up the tmobile base to the computer and the main phone and then everything works as usual since all the extra phones he has will work also.

The whole system takes like 2 minutes to hook up with color coded cords and it scared the **** out of people

I think it was like getting FREE MONEY! i HAVE to have a home phone. Local company is like $50 monthly. Tmobile is $10. That's like whacking $40 off my phone bill plus getting free long distance to boot

What do you mean? Corporate discounts still apply to the entire bill on contracted plans

I agree. You see how easy it is. However, the 50+ year-old technophobe customers are tougher to sell on it, heh
