Default Regarding T-Mobile(UK)

A week ago i drop AT&T cause really i was paying a lot and i wasn't using all the minutes and text. So i decided to go with T-Mobile(US i guess) with a no contract service of somehow that includes a blackberry data plan, but to my surprised they are really expensive; now the problem isn't that i cant pay it is just that i simply just want the internet and maybe some minutes from time to time. Now here is where the issue is if you can call it that. My girlfriend is from the UK and we use BBM to keep each other post it until we get back home to use the home line or Skype so you can say we need the BBM service plan. But to cut to the chase. She was telling me how great T mobile over there is and they have all this flexible PayGo plans in which you can pick a monthly booster of just blackberry data plan and use it to just use everything on your BB. I tol her that over here we don't have anything like booster packs or anything so she said why don ti pick it up for you. So she call a T-Mobile(UK) representative and explain to her the situation and she(representative) told her and i quote: "That we could get away with it by she purchasing it from over there and sending it to me). So now my question would be do you guys/girls think that this would work. really any input on this would be really help.

Won't work as it only applies if you are connecting to T-Mobile network in the UK. Once a user goes outside of the UK they are then into international roaming charges - which for using in the US are about $12 per Mb!

Edit - just seen that T-Mobile do a BlackBerry World Email 30 Day Booster that is ~$25 a month which would give you email and BBM - but you'd still have to have a UK based phone number and buy some standard plan minutes (as these are 'boosters' on top of a plan).

ok what if i use a dual sim adapter and use a US/UK T-Mobile sims, one for minutes and whatever us plan i get and the uk one for the bbm. Or is it just a matter of the roaming and thats why it wouldnt work? Thanks for your answer.
