T-Mo doesn't have great coverage inside buildings, period. If it wasn't for UMA I probably wouldn't use them. Verizon is weak in my house, also. I get a very strong signal with AT&T (iphone), however.

I live near Portland, Maine. we have dropped calls, SOS, no bars/signal, no EDGE just GPRS- and only on the BlackBerrys.. the gravity and laptop card work perfectly!

tried a SIM swap- no improvements

now have a ticket in with RIM and TMo cuz neither one could figure it out.

Default T-Mobile

Not a blackberry, but 2 new Motozines. Mine has 2 to 3 bars at all times and we live in a so called "no bar" area. My wife's has 0 to maybe 2 if she's lucky. Only difference I can tell is that my SIM is about 5 years old, hers is brand new (actually twice new) as they replaced it thinking it was the issue. I've read many many posts alluding to the SIM being the issue - although it shouldn't have anything to do with it - I'm a believer.

I'm signing up with T-Mobile tomorrow. I sure hope I get good enough coverage in my house. I spend most of my time in my basement, so I'm a bit worried...

I live just a little down the road from Hicksville, USA. More deep in the woods. My service out here is terrible!!! I get maybe 1-2 bars when standing outside. Inside the house, I get no service whatsoever unless I stand close to a window.

There is a solution, however!! Invest in a signal booster if you plan on staying with T-Mobile. I got mine from here -> discountcelldotcom (sorry, I can't post the link, forum won't allow) I know it's expensive, but for me, it was the best solution I had, unless I sold my house and moved to a better reception area. I now get 2-3 bars inside!

By the way, I do get 2-3 bars inside, 3-4 bars outside with AT&T, without the booster, but I am sticking with T-Mobile.

edit--I cant post links? grr, lol.

You can't post links in the forum until you have made 10 posts, so bare with me here. Just take out the spaces and the dot, replace with "." and this is the link --> h t t p ://f oru ms.crackberry dot com/f52/does-anyone-know-what-uma-19456/

Also here --> h t t p ://forums.crackberry dot com/f3/complete-wifi-how-47229/

Hope that helps.

edit: PS. If any Admins or Mods see this, pweassssee don't ban me. I am not a spammer or a robot, as I know that is what those measures are set up for. I am a member of many forums and am reputable, I was just trying to help out jayeburd there. Thanks.
