Contrary to the information below, you cannot get a new account through Amazon.com on TMobile and receive the free Blackberry 8900. You would have to cancel your TMobile account, wait a period of time for your social security number to be wiped from their system as active, and then sign up for an account through Amazon. You may find a TMobile store (company store only) that would be willing to price match Amazon.
Once you setup your email accounts, a mailbox for each account appears on the main screen of the Blackberry. In addition, all of your mail goes into the general folder named "Messages."
You should be able to use UMA with your Time Capsule. Any router will work, however, the greatest success has been reported when using Linksys routers. Quote:

A few questions:
1. My service contract is up in a week, and I'd like to upgrade to the 8900. Tmo's website has it at $150, but Amazon shows the phone for free with new 2-year contract. Has anyone been able to renew through Amazon to get a free phone, while currently a tmo customer? Would this even work? Would a tmo store give the phone for free if I were to renew?
2. I'd prefer the cheapest BB web plan from tmo ($24.99 unlimited web). But - will this plan allow quick access to email (from Yahoo, pop3, etc)? Since I have no hands-on experience with the 8900, is there an email icon or the like on the main screen where you can quickly access this sort of email? The BB Unlimited w/ Enterprise ($29.98) seems unnecessary b/c I don't need BES access, only email.
3. I love the idea of UMA, and have a router (Apple Time Capsule) already set up. Will this be sufficient to make UMA calls over wifi at home, or would another (tmo router) be necessary and/or more efficient for UMA?
Thanks for the help - I'm looking forward to having the 8900 soon! | Quote:

Me personally, I am way too attached to my number and can not give it up. Your best bet is to first call Tmo and talk to loyalty. Thell them about amazon and they will do something to help you out. | |
