questions about pre paid blackberry service

My girlfriend is moving from norway to san francisco to study in a couple of days, since I think a BB would be a great choice of phone for her while in SF i've been googling a bit and i found out that Tmobile has some sort of pre paid BB service available so I wondered if anyone have any experience with this(not much info on the Tmo web site) or knows how it works.

Does this service include BIS, does it has any data limitations, and if so - what are the costs for data usage? Will she be able to use any BB or does it have to be a Tmo BB?

It would be great if anyone who uses or knows a bit about this service could provide me with some info

Tmobile has tmobile complete that is a prepaid plan, with a BB.

it does not have to be a tmobile blackberry, im not aware of the usage charges or allowances. have to clarify are you speaking of flex pay?? that will help me to give better remarks on cost and such? thanks

yep, the plan i found by googling was the flexpay prepaid plan.. i found several articles describing it but I did not manage to find any info about it on t-mobile.com

the t-mobile complete also seem like a really good option but i'm not sure if the unlimited text & talk is really necesarry so if the flexpay plan is somewhat cheaper that might be a better solution

Two big advantages of doing a Flexpay monthly at a corporate T-Mobile store:

1 - You have the benefit of choosing any available plan/text/internet combo, rather than preselected ones

2 - You're not bringing your T-Mobile business to Walmart or Best Buy

The FlexPay solution sounds like the perfect option as she really won't have the need for unlimited text&calls since most of the calls made will be done to overseas phonenumbers.


Is there something like a prepaid unlimited dataplan for FlexPay? Could she for instance prepay a certain amount per month to get this?

Also, are there any additional charges for the BIS service? I want to be able to reach her on BBM etc and I guess the BIS service is a prerequisite for this?
