Default Question for Tmobile users.

Hey fellow crackberries...

im a first time bb user, just bought the 8900 in hong kong unlocked. IMO the black batt cover is nicer than the grey tmo in the u.s. has. anyways...i dont have a data plan for my bb yet because but will connect to the service within these couple days., so my question is, wat are the steps i have to take to configure my bb so it works with my tmo service.

i read some of the other threads...i need to register my imei and pin, BES or BIS... what other steps do i have to do? i read threads on sending service books..but its onclear to me what that does or why i have to do it.

comments, inquiries comments please...

Default

1) Order TM BB service from the TM Customer Service
If you do not connect with a business server then you order BIS (Blackberry Internet Service)
If you connect with a business server then you order BES (Blackberry Enterprise Service)
2) After the rep says it is up and running login by PC to the TM website in your area.
3) Go to the the section called email ... Blackberry ... setup
4) Follow the steps to identify your specific phone
PIN and IMEI numbers are on the nameplate under the battery.
5) Setup the email accounts either Blackberry and or POP3 accounts.
6) Go the the section called "send service books"
Click the button. If all is well you will get an email sent to the phone for each email account you set up
6) For initial setup it might take up to an hour to get the email confirmations
Your phone will be ready to go
