Default Question regarding voice minutes

Hi everyone,

I have a 600 minute plan per month. Normally, I never go over that amount,
in fact, I usually only use have of my minutes. This month however, I have
made a lot of calls, and have less than 100 minutes with a week to go.

Can Customer care give me a block of minutes or should I not answer the
phone until the closing date of my bill?

i'd call them and see if they can give you some extra mins. this month. I know when this happened to my mom and dad, they gave them some to get them through the week.

I'll try calling Care later to see what they tell me. At least I have unlimited
nights and weekends, but I hope I can make it to the end of the month.

I don't know if they can block the minutes, haven't heard of that before.

I'm sure you know, but just in case, you can dial #646# and that will give you a pretty accurate number of minutes used. Thats a good way to monitor your minutes to make sure you don't go over.

you have the old 39.99 Get More 600 minutes plan. If you talk to alot of people that also have tmo, i would recommend you move to the Even More 500 plan for 39.99. You will get 500 minutes but mobile to mobile to tmo customers is free which is not included in the older plans. This way, you can save your minutes when you speak to people who have tmo. However, changing the plan can result in an increase in the amount you pay for your data feature so be careful.

Also, if you dont want to go about changing your plan, just call CS and simply ask if they can add some bonus minutes for the month. This can be done by appealing to the idea that you've been a customer for a while (if you have been that is) and you need this small favor. Usually, the reps are nice and would not want you to go over anyways. They can add anywhere from 50 to 250 bonus minutes free of cost. Try it and let us know. Good luck!

Thanks for the answer. I really don't want to change my plan. I haven't gone
over my minutes in years... this was just an unusual month for me.

I'll see if I can get CS to give me the bonus minutes.

I know you said you don't want to change your plan but Retentions is offering some old customers the Get More 1000 min plan for 39.99. It's the same cost as your plan now...unlimited n/w, etc. You can even get free myfaves tacked on. Something to consider...

If not, CS should be able to give you some more minutes so you won't go over...

This has been very helpful. Now another twist.... I checked my useage on
myTMobile.com, and I have 95 minutes to go and the end date of the billing
cycle falls on August 2nd. What is everyone's opinion, should I call now to
ask about the bonus minutes, or wait until I am almost out of minutes or
closer to the end date?
