Default question about myfaves

In order for it to work, do I need to use those little icons or can I call myfaves from the address book too?

Once you setup the MyFaves online you are good to go. I do not have the MyFaves icons on my Curve, and just set the phone numbers up in the MyT-Mobile section of my account online.

Even if you don't have the myFaves interface on your phone because it's unlocked, you'll be able to take advantage of myFaves. Just set up your faves on your my.t-mobile account and you'll be good to go.

You can also set up what numbers you want assigned to MyFaves on your phone. But since you don't habe the icon on your phone, your only choice is to do it online. If you want the icon back, try sending your service books.

You do not have to call directly from the icons! As long as they're set up as MyFave numbers, you can call them any way you want and it'll still work.

Even without the MyFaves interface on your phone the service will work as long as you manage the numbers from the website. Once you create the contacts online the billing system will recognize those numbers as a MyFaves and will rate as a free call. You can still change any of your contacts once per calendar month. Also, if you make a change mid-month all calls to that contact will backdate to the beginning of the billing cycle.
