Question A Question About The 8820

Hey guys I have T-Mobile and i switch back and forth from the 8320 and the 8800. Now I personally prefer the 8800 because I find it easier to type on and I like how it looks better than the 8320 but its biggest downfall that it doesn't have Wi-fi which the reason why I use the 8320. Now what I was thinking was to buy a 8820 from CL or something. Now I found one for $100 bucks but its from AT&T. Now I know that I have to unlock it so it can work obviously but what I want to know is if when I resend the service books will the device accept MyFaves and will it work on UMA? Please if anyone can answer this for me I would greatly appreciate it before I buy a phone that won't work for me. Thanks guys.

UMA will only work if a) the device is rebranded to T-Mobile or b) you add UMA manually to the device and install the necessary certificates.

Ok and how can I go about doing that and will it work or is it one of those hit or miss deals?

The myFaves wheel won't show on your device (the AT&T one). You can still have the plan and change the faves online and it will still work fine, but you just won't have the interface. Some people would rather not have that interface, kind of like me .

Yeah the wheel I never use it so that's not a problem but my biggest concern is the UMA feature. If the 8820 (AT&T) doesn't do it then I will just have to keep looking for it
