| | Project Black? When Will YOU Go to the T-Mobile Store?
Ok folks, there's a TON of guesses and rumors and other stuff about Project Black which T-Mobile is supposed to release to the public this weekend.
So when will YOU get to T-Mobile to see if you can get in on the action? Tell us your thoughts!

I have to call 611 (is that Customer Service?) whenever I get the chance because I'm working overtime on Sunday...
Besides, I went to my local T-Mo store when they had the $199 MyTouch promotion, and it was so crowded, I couldn't breathe in there, so I'll just call CS.
And BTW, isn't the store just to buy phones?

I think I'll stick with 611 or online. Nearest store is 80+ miles away. I def think I would rather pop in the store though. Sometimes mistakes and glitches can appear online but you don't get that with a real rep.
I'm so excited! I'm going to be like a kid on Christmas! Even if it doesn't benefit me a lot, I'm excited to see what they are! And what it will do for tmo's business...
All I can say is that they NEED to advertise it. T-Mobile stinks at advertising.
I've already done my part by convincing my bf to switch to T-Mobile (contract is up at AT&T and I believe he'll switch) but if T-Mobile really wants to bring more people in, they need to let them know about these great deals.

I'm hoping to read the details off the internet first and do the math to see if its worth switching plans and getting a smartphone for my wife. If so, we'll have to figure out what's better for her: bb or android. Very excited to see what the plans are and will be disappointed if they're not great.

Project Black is rumored to be a new rate plan that will be offered this upcoming Sunday 10/25/2009. It may involve some new phones too.

If you go to tmonews dot com, they have pictures of the rumored upcoming rate plans.
For my situation, the new pricing is much worse than my current plan.
Major disappointment.

^ these were rumored to be some game changing rate plans that would catapult TMo past Sprint into 3rd place but its nothing short of disappointing. All the hype for nothing. Simply from reading blogs and forums such as Tmonews and Boygenius, Engadget .... it seems for every 1 person these plans might actually benefit there are 4 disappointed current or possibley future subscribers that it either doesnt help at all or even amounts to MORE then what their currently paying. Myself included. Disappointed isnt even the word .....

The plans don't look that great to me.
Not unless T-mobile will offer a temporary special promotion in which they drop the plans by a significant amount.
If you do the math, you'll probably find that it will be to your benefit to be without a contract. If most of T-mobile customers are not on contract, then other carriers can offer a promotion that significantly undercuts T-mobile and pick off many of their customers (locking them in a 2-year contract so they don't go back to T-mobile for at least 2 years). How is T-mobile going to prevent more churn with this plan?
I have been a happy T-mobile customer for 5 years, but now I'm starting to worry for the company.

Any news leaked about how they will handle us longtimers who want to change? 750 +sms+data - 120 for family contract might be do-able, but not as good as most of us expected.

@RWWackoStu
There were some rumors and a printed document that said if you were off contract you could switch to a new plan for $35/phone.
The rumor said that if you were on contract, you had to switch to the new "on contract plan" with the higher monthly price or pay an early termination fee to go to the "no contract plan".
This is just rumor.
