Default Prepaid texting deducting too much!

I have a Blackberry Curve 8320, unlocked. I just got prepaid service for it from T-Mobile: the 130 mins for $25. I read that for prepaid plans, sending texts are 10 cents per text and receiving is 5 cents per text. I'm getting charged one whole minute per text! With my prepaid plan, my per minute cost is 19 cents. Does anyone know anything?

Hmm I'd contact TMO, it could have something to do with the unlocked BB.

Wondering if you could help: When I make a call, using my prepaid service, does TMo subtract minutes for each minute the call takes, or dollar amounts? I'm getting confused having both minute totals and dollar totals under my T-zone. Also, I bought the 130 minute card for $25. On my receipt, it says with that plan, my per minute charge is 19 cents. Does that mean for every minute used, they subtract 19 cents from my dollar amount and a minute from my minute total? And, since texting is supposed to be 10 cents per sent text, that means I can send approx. 2-10 cent texts to equal 20 cents which is over my 19 cents/minute charge; is that why they subtract a whole minute every 2 texts? So I'm guessing that my 130 minutes=$25. Every minute used they subtract the equalling dollar amount and vice versa?!
