T-Mobile's Pre Paid doesn't support data unfortunately.

Unless you're on a Sidekick phone, data won't work for the BB.

How long is she staying for? You could consider getting a flexpay plan. There's no contract and no credit check and it's essentially prepaid.

careful with FlexPay, though. Some FlexPay accounts are with a contract and the reps in the stores aren't all that great about letting you know that you are getting a contract. Just read all the terms and conditions to be safe.

If you don't have a SSN then you can't have an annual contract placed in your name. You either says yes or no to the credit check. If no, it is automatically FP Monthly.

Agreed. You do have to be careful when signing FP contracts...well, I guess that goes with any kind of contract.

I'm pretty sure you can refuse to put down a SSN number when entering into a FP plan then there is no contract and you can pay by the month without issue and just stop paying/cancel when you're done.

To make sure that you have the right FP plan, I would go to an official T-Mobile store. In my experience, the reps at places like Wal-Mart can sometimes make mistakes/misinform when it comes to T-Mobile prices and plans. Best to just go to the source.

You get access to every data feature that you would get on a normal Post Paid account. Only difference between the two is you pay ahead with Flex and there are time restrictions on making changes to your account. On top of those two things, you can't get the T-Mobile @Home service nor can you get the T-Mobile Web Connect 3G data stick for your laptop. Other than these few restrictions there isn't much of a difference.

There's no such thing unless it's for a Sidekick.

I believe he was saying without data.

You can still use a prepaid SIM in your BB, just wouldn't have any data services. Calls and text only.
