Default Prepaid SIM with BB, in CO and UT

I'm a Canadian with an unlocoked BB9900, and I'll be heading to Denver CO and Moab UT. Because of ridiculous Canadian carrier rates, I would like to purchase a 1 month SIM with voice/text/data and BB support. So...

1. Does T-Mobile have good coverage in those areas?
2. Does T-Mobile offer prepaid SIM's by the month with BB service?
3. Will my unlocked BB9900 work on T-Mobiles frequencies? (Its a Bell Mobility phone, same freq as AT&T in USA I believe)

Thanks!

1. Here is T-Mobile's prepaid coverage map
2. Yes. Here is the information.
3. Yes, after you unlock it. But you will only get 2G speeds.

If I buy prepaid "by the day", is there any onetime charge for the SIM or setup?

The coverage map shows a lot of grey in the area I'm going, which according to the legend means "partner". How will that affect my coverages/services/cost?

The prepaid shows voice, text, and "Web". Does "Web" mean browsing web pages (port 80) only, or all internet access?

What speed is 2G? (in Mbps)

Thanks

I think there's a one-time $3 charge for purchasing the SIM (they call it the activation kit, or something like that.)

You may be roaming on the AT&T or other partner network. T-Mobile has national roaming agreements in place.

It's all non-BIS web internet access. BIS seems to be a $10 add-on

Mbps? Lol. EDGE is somewhere around 230kbps. GPRS is around 100kbps.

Smile

Keep in mind that you need monthly prepaid plan to get BlackBerry service.

"For Monthly4G plans $30 and up that include unlimited data. Not available for Prepaid - Pay by the Day and Pay As You Go plans."

The "PREPAID BY THE DAY" shows a Blackberry picture...so I assumed the $2/day should get my BB reconnected to my office BES.

I contacted T-Mobile and unfortunately, even though they show a picture of a BB next to the pay by the day with data, a BB cannot use data on pay-by-the-day. Man...a real strike against BB !!!

Off to the next carrier to check...
