Default PrePaid Sim
I'm thinking about picking up a prepaid sim card to keep in my VZW phone and was wondering how much one runs, and wondered if it would be cheaper to just get a prepaid phone from like walmart rather than trying to track down a sim

Your VZW phone has the ability to have SIM cards right? Make sure it's unlocked.

T-Mobile prepaid rates are pretty good but there is NO prepaid data option currently available. (Sucks, I know). I don't know if this is a deal breaker for you but it would be for me...and I know lots of vzw phones don't have wifi.

The phone is unlocked I just want to have it for backup, if I'm ever somewhere that VZW doesn't have service.

I thought that Vzw had the most service of all the carriers?

There are a few areas on our campus where I know t-mobile gets service that VZW is shotty.

I have one for my sprint tour and am not renewing it due to them dropping roaming agreements in my area, like $35 left on it and I am willing to sell it.

can you just buy a pre paid SIM? or do you have to get the phone with it, take out the sim and activate it? i went to a couple stores and all i could find was the phones with sims in them? have a extra BB and would like as a back up also for phone calls...
