Default Prepaid Data for iPhone? (Sidekick data or otherwise)

I'm totally in love with the iPhone browser and I am thinking about getting an iPhone 3G for cheaper (when the new iPhone comes out) and then using prepaid data with it. I want to use prepaid because it's cheaper and if I don't use it, I won't have to pay.

Tmobile offers a Sidekick Unlimited prepaid for 1 dollar/day, and you get unlimited EDGE usage. Does anyone know if this works with an unlocked iPhone?

If not, are there any other prepaid data options out there, on either t-mobile or other carriers? I'd love to know.

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. and i was told by a T-Mobile Store - that they do not have the Service Books to make the iPhone work properly on T-Mobiles network. If that is true (i could of been told wrong) i'd look into getting a iTouch iPod and using the wi-fi browser on that.

I know that's not true because tons of people have gotten unlocked iPhones working on the network, data and everything. BBs use service books, not iPhones. People have been able to use them on the Total Internet plans as well as the old t-zones.

For me, I'm just looking for a prepaid option.

I have a BB Storm and when I upgrade the OS I take out my sim card and I use it in the iPhone. I have full data access with no problems. I also had data when I switched the sim card from my G1 to my iPhone as well.
