Question Pre-paid BB plans?

Hi all,

I will be traveling to the USA a few times in the next few months. I have unlocked my Rogers Curve 8310 and would like to swap in a T-mo (or AT&T, whatever) SIM with a pre-paid plan to stay connected while I'm away without Rogers breaking the bank with roaming fees.

Does anyone know what my options are in this regard? I fumbled around the various carrier sites but couldn't really find what I am looking for.

Would like to be able to send/receive emails and use various apps. Voice not a must but would be nice of course.

Thanks in advance,

Tim

On T-Mobile's behalf, pre-paid isn't intended for data, thus there are no talks of data plans on a pre-paid. I know what the voice and messaging rate is on pre-paid, but with a pre-paid service on your SIM, it may or may not allow you to access the web. If it does you'll get charged per mb possibly? I have a feeling that you won't even be able to access anything to do with the web.

There are no BB prepaid plans. There are some prepaid data plans but you'll be charged by the KB or MB and the plans won't work on a BB.

It may just be better for you to usa Wi-Fi.

You still have to pay for Flex pay a month at a time. I see no benifit for someone who only needs service occasionally. If your are staying in a hotel there should be wifi, as well as all the free wifi in rest./coffee shops etc. Not sure if the 8310 has wifi, but my wife's 8320 does, so I will assume it does.Good Luck..
