Pay As You Go Sim
I am going to america at the start of December for eight weeks and was just wondering where I can buy a T-Mobile pay as you go sim, walmart maybe?
Also do pay as you go sims have to be registered in the USA or can I just walk in buy one and use it like in the UK
Also how much the BB data costs per month
Any help would be really appreciated

Walmart doesn't have the Blackberry data plan. They can give you a generic data plan
but it won't work for your Blackberry. If you get a no contract plan at a T-Mobile store,
It is $30 per month, $10 extra for the Blackberry plan, and $10 extra if you need
international talk and texting. And they will charge you for the sim card too, I think.

YES, I DO BELIEVE THAT I AM WORTH IT!
PLEASE STOP WITH THE LONG POSTS! YOU'RE BORING US. - 08-13-2011, 07:07 PM

Just so you know, the Blackberry Data Feature and also the International Talk + Text feature is ONLY available as an add on to the $50 or $70 Monthly 4G plans. The $30 1500 talk + text is a standalone rate plan.
The international is Unlimited Talk to Landlines, and Unlimited Text to mobile phones internationally, check the site for a listing of included countries.

I'm in same position. I'm thinking to fly to usa from Italy about 3 mounts next spring to learn english/american.
I see only tmobile can give me a mount contract (same pay as you go).
But can I use my BB9700 or future 9900 with tmobile? (I read tmobile use a different frequency from my europe-BB).
U r in american pay BB service toooo much. Here in Europe we pay about 8$/mount to BB service (pay as you go sim) - 08-23-2011, 12:01 AM #6
T-Mobile is the only GSM carrier in the USA that also provides data with their Pre-paid sim cards so if you have unlocked your Blackberry, just go to any t-mobile shop and get a prepaid SIM card from your Blackberry.. not a big deal.

Thx for reply.
Why is not a big deal? I'll stay in usa to study only 3 mounts.
With my data roaming (VodafoneIT) I'll pay 20€/week 80€/m only for data. With tmobile I'll pay 60$/m for unlimited talk and text to usa (I hope to know sooome people). If tmobile is only carrier that I can use... I haven't other choise.
What do u advise me?
P.S. In Italy we haven't lock phone/bb. All is unlocked.
