Default PAM Problem

Ok, i have a friend and he is having a problem with using his bb 8900 curve as a modem. we have followed the steps outlined in http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...y-modem-19093/ that post and it is still not working. he has the data connection availible but *99# and *99***1# does not work. we get error code 629 disconnected by remote computer. Any ideas or updated info?

You might want to try downloading Desktop Manager 5.0 It will automatically set up your BB to be used as a modem. I have an 8900 and used it to set mines up, and have had no problems.
