Thats weird. I'm running 5.0.0.238 on my 8900 and I called T-Mobile yesterday because I couldnt get myFavs to go away. It stays on my homescreen but doesn't do anything but spin... no options or anything.

I know it's odd. I have a my favs plan and that carousel doesn't even show my contacts. I don't have the favs icon on my application screen or anything. I kind of like it that way.

Did you make sure you check off Install myFaves within the OS install tool?

No, I don't shrink my os like I should. I don't use the stock themes because of the carousel. It drives me nuts, so I don't really worry about myfavs. I know it's tracked by tmo.

Use maxmem to delete the whole application. I just update on the web. The app is a gimmick anyway, I still have myfaves setup, just don't have to look at the stupid rotating circles.

Oh yeah...your MyFaves numbers are on T-Mos system, not your phone...you could call from an ancient cell phone and it would still be your MyFave number and you wouldnt be charged for the call.

Your MyFaves is always active, if you have that plan, regardless of the icons on the device. The icons are just convenience keys - I'd say just set speed keys for now (i.e. 1 is for voicemail, 2 for mom, 3 for dad, etc) until they release a patch or fix it...

If you switch from the Tmobile theme it goes away.

What is the OS install tool?
