Default OS 6 for 9700? Is this breaking news?

I just got an email. My phone is very stable on v5.0.0.714. Anyone do this upgrade yet on 9700?

Very old news.

There have been several releases of OS 6 for the 9700. The official TMO version .448 in my opinion is not the best. Too much of a memory leak. I believe .461 is more stable even though it to has a memory leak.

Yes, you seem to be the only one to report it on Crackberry. I too received the email from T-mobile. I have heard too many bad things about OS 6 on the 9700, so think I will wait. Love to see more people's experiences posted here.

i was forced to upgrade yesterday when OS 5 was causing my phone to freak out. If your OS 5 is working, I'd say leave it. Why fix what isn't broken?

the upgrade isn't THAT bad. It had some kinks and some app issues, but it's been fine for me. (and i was STRICTLY against it having been through terrible OS 6 issues on the 9800)

I got the same email/text. I am sticking with 5.x for a while. I may move up to 6.x, but not anytime real soon.

It's personal preference, I absolutely loathe 6.0, no matter what phone it's on. I did the upgrade and have been regretting it ever since.

Why TMobile went with .448 is beyond me....it sucks compared to others.

Used most, but always come back to os6 .424 as it has been the best for me.
