Default No Push E-Mail for unlocked blackberry's.. T-Mobile says its a known issue??

Not that I don't believe the tech support person, but I haven't heard of this anywhere..

Brief sum-up:
I had an unlocked tour on tmobile, went thru all kinds of trouble to get service books and email, the bis site said 'invalid pin or imei', called tmobile.. Got it eventually.. Switched to a 9700, email transferred fine, switched to a 8120 tmobile branded, and when I went to the 'manage internet email' icon, it would say 'device change failed' so I called tmobile and they easily switched my pin and imei to my current numbers, problem solved, then I switched to a 9700, then again back to the 8120, never had this issue, then a couple weeks ago I started using an unlocked 8900, service books/internet/mms/uma everything works fine, but when I try using the device email setup icon, I get that device change failed again.. And on tmobile bis site I get 'invalid pin or imei' again like the tour...

No problem I thought, its unlocked, probly not a recognised imei, so I thought calling tmobile they could override it and change my account settings... Which they did, but its still not working, so they transfered me to RIM, where the guy looked everything over and said he didn't know why tmobile transfered me.... So he got tmobile tech support back on the line again and the nice rep appologised and said that its a known issue that's been passed up from the network to RIM and she said there's a know issue with unlocked blackberrys not working right and until they get the service books up to date, there's nothing they can do about setting up email...

Has anyone successfully setup email in the past couple days?? I'm suprised I haven't heard anything about this with all the sites I read daily... If its known, why didn't the first rep tell me?

So I can't find the button to edit from the wap forums (where is it, I always look but can't ever find it)

But here's my edit: It just came to me, I remember reading something about tmobile disabling unlocked storms on their network. Is this the same issue? The article made it seem like it was storm-targeted, but the tech said its all blackberrys. It also said that they didn't know if tmobile was going to allow the storms back on the network... But the rep was saying that they're working hard with rim to get all the service books up to date... So obviously they're trying to allow the unlocked bbs on their network... I have a 8900 so idc about the storms working, I just want to know if the 8900 will start working soon

1. Someone needs to tell me how to edit a wap post from my bb
2. 3am is not a good time for me
3. I just remembered something else.... The 8900 is actually sold by tmobile, unlike the tour or storm, so are there really different service books?? Can rim/tmobile actually tell whether the 8900 you have is unlocked? I thought that's why the tours/storms were so complicated... My 8900 is from centenial wireless, but I have all my service books, my data works, I even got the uma working, is email service that far off from the rest of the services that it requires special attention/configuration?? I don't get it, and my mind rambles when I'm tired, unfortunately my fingers keep up on this 8900, so I end up triple-posting instead of making sure I got everything.... Anyways, if anyone has some info please share, I'll stop multiple-posting, my apologies

Can't help you with the issue itself, but I saw you can't find the edit button.

When you look at your post, next to the timestamp it will say [Ed][Reply]. [Ed] is for edit.

Ok thats the problem. I work for tmobile and the issue that is affecting most of the storm users is also affecting you. Any unsupported blackberry has been having issues. I wish i could fix them but trust me i have spent many hours on the phone with tmobile customers to no luck. They service books for tmobile/verizion/centenial are all diffenent and it seems alot of the phones are reverting back to the original carriers books. Either way there is no official fix yet.

sorry

Well yeah, mines exactly like that too, I just figured I didn't need to include the [!!!] cause its at the end and it wasn't relevant. But I probably should have.
