Default No Longer Receiving Pushed Email

Folks, I did a bunch of searches and could not find anyone else reporting a problem, so I am posting here. If this is the wrong forum, I apologize.

I have BIS through TMO and have never had a problem or noticed much of an interruption in service.

But as of this morning, EST, I no longer am getting email pushed to my BB 8900. I have GMail, and it has always been extremely reliable, but now the only way to access Gmail is through the Gmail BB client, and not the Blackberry inbox. I no longer receive notification of new messages and have to manually go into the client each time.

Has anyone else had this problem, and do you recommend any solutions? Should I delete the service books and resend, or should I delete the Gmail account and rebuild it?

I have also tried rebooting my handset, but that did not solve anything.

Update: There must have been a temporary BIS outage, because push mail is now working again with no intervention from me.

I'd say next time you have any service issues you should start with a battery pull and if you still have a problem call Blackberry support at tmobile using a different phone. Whenever I call, they are very helpful and seem to be very well trained

Is a battery pull equivalent to pressing Alt-Right Shift-Del? I thought it was, but maybe I am mistaken. I used that key combination to reboot the phone and it did not resolve the issue.

In any case, it all is working fine now.

It is, only if you press it twice. Press Alt + Right Shift + Delete and as soon as the white screen comes up, you have to press it again. Using that sequence once is a soft reset, twice is a hard reset.

I recently had the same problem. I fixed it with the following: First steps are to register your device and send service books:

Send Service Books: Click your internet email icon (the envelope with a gear in front of it)> click service books> click send service books, or log onto your provider's website and send them from there.

Register Device: Click options> click advanced options> roll down and click host routing table> press your menu key> select register now> click back and close.

Last time I went to the website to send service book, the method was different, I was sent to the edit email page. To send service books, I had to click help at the bottom of that page - I was then sent to a page where I could send service books.

Let me know if this is the case with you as well - I was thinking it might be because I am running 5.0 - but of they changed the procedure, I need to know to update my advice,
