Default no coverage... what can i do?

ok so the carrier im with has no service where i live. i live atop a mountain and i cant get service in my house. i have drop call after drop call and i cant use the internet. when i told the carrier about this they say to get internet service so i can use wi-fi. i cant justify spending 200 on a cell phone bill plus another 50-60 just to use my phone. the carrier wont let me out of contract as they say i dont have a valid claim. the service at the base of the mountain is good but atop where i live is horrid. does anyone know if there is anything i can do to fight this nonsense?

I would normally say take the UMA option which uses wifi but as you dont
want to go that direction.

I can only suggest buying a Signal booster for cellular
signals, they are available from a variety of places and should be able to boost
up the signal for your house.

Good idea, Not all networks use them as UMA is becoming the replacement for it.

If they dont supply them then there are ones that will work with any network. Its like a
personal cell relay.

Did your phone ever work in your home? You should have cancelled your contract
immediately if it did not get service.

How long do you have on your contract? It might be cheaper to pay the ETF to end your
contract as opposed to paying $200 per month for terrible reception!!

If you are looking for a cell booster try this. Wi-Ex :: zBoost Signal Boosters
I purchased one for the basement of the company I administer and it works fantastic.

Just make sure you have some kind of signal outside.

T-Mobile used to let people that had poor coverage or that moved out of the coverage area out of their contract but people abused it and it went the wayside.

What carrier does work? Have you asked neighbors?
