Default New T-Mobile Website: The WORST/How to Access BIS Settings?

T-Mobile's website was never their strong suit but you got used to the navigation steps eventually and learned how to get where you needed to go.

Now they've revamped their website and it is HORRIBLE.

I've just moved and I'm trying to change my sig file under my BIS settings. I can't find the new section on BIS settings anywhere. A call to T-Mobile's BlackBerry customer service department was a complete waste of time as even their reps don't have a clue how to get you to where you need to go.

I've just wasted over an hour clicking on every setting on the MyTMobile website trying find my BIS settings and I can't find them anywhere.

T-Mobile is a great company but this new website is just garbage.

Anyone have any clues for the clueless here?

I live in Puerto Rico, and My T-Mobile site defaults to Spanish. Same thing here, no BIS settings anywhere, no BB picture for my phone, etc. I also called, and after tinkering around with the page, the CSR told me that BIS settings were not available to all users after the redesign, that they would become available after a while.

Sign in > Connect and Share...then go into "Configure email" and that's where you go to fix the BIS settings.

Negative. That doesn't work. That is for non-BlackBerry email.

Error notice is as follows ...

We apologize, you do not have access to the My E-mail service.
Please use the e-mail solution provided with your wireless handheld.

That is utterly ridiculous. T-Mobile is a serious company and this is very amateurish on their part.

When I sign into My T-Mobile, there are a bunch of sections next to where they show which phone you're using. Under "Upgrade phone," there is the "Blackberry Internet E-mail" section that takes me to my BIS settings. Other posters don't see this?

+1 for the dismay with the site redesign

When someone answers, I wanna know too. Has anyone noticed the my.t-mobile.com is S-L-O-W-E-R than it was before this 'revamping'

I agree. Their new site is HORRIBLE and has TERRIBLE usability. I was a professional web designer/developer for a very large insurance company for six years. TMO's new site is not well designed (probably designed by the business side) and the usability is not friendly (no unbiased QA done).

I hate the site. Too much "cute look" and not enough "simple function".

I'd agree with you but then I'd be wrong.

I agree, the new website is horrible. I can now access the BIS settings, but a week or two ago when they first launched the site I could not. I called to question and the rep told me to give it time as it is a new site and still has issues. For some where as large as Tmobile they shouldnt launch a site and then tell their customers to deal with it.

24-HOUR REPORT (will be reported daily in this thread until the problem is fixed)

STILL NO BIS FUNCTIONALITY ON THE T-MOBILE WEBSITE.

WHEN WILL T-MOBILE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS RIDICULOUS LAPSE IN SERVICE?

Default Just want to change my email signature

Great, I'm not the only one - I tried to change my email signature from the self-praising "Sent from a T-Mobile ..." and couldn't find the option in My T-Mobile.

Customer service initially told me I could change signatures from the phone (but I think they're wrong) and then pointed me to the web site. After 20 minutes of "Can I put you on hold while I check with someone else?" she finally acknowledged the website "has some difficulties."

It's been over a week for me - Anyone know a work-around to change signatures?

After logging in, I'm right back at the new page (are you still getting the old page?) from which I can not:

Change Signatures
Send Service Books
... and who knows what else?

What is also confusing is that my old email address was @tmo.blackberry.net and with the new web site it's trying to get me to edit @tmomail.net

It's fascinating this has been going on for over a week with no resolution in sight ...

I copied this from another thread in this forum so am not taking credit for it, but this worked for me FINALLY (yay!!!):

Here's the steps to get it to work.

1) Log into My T-Mobile website as you would normally.
2) The next screen will come up and have some options for Manage, Connect and Share, Shop, Learn, and Support towards the top of the screen.
3) Mouse-over Manage and you'll see an option for Phone appear below. Click on Phone.
4) When the next screen comes up, look to the right of the Phone picture and see if you see the option for Blackberry Email Setup under Resources for this phone. If you do not, click on the link for Not Your Phone under the Phone picture to the left. [NOTE: THIS IS THE KEY...even though it IS your phone, you still click on "Not Your Phone" and then proceed to select your particular model BlackBerry again in the next step]
5) On the next screen click on Blackberry for Manufacturer and then choose the correct Blackberry from the listed pictures/models shown.

Once you have completed this, you'll be taken back to the same phone resources screen you were before, but this time Blackberry Email Setup will be shown to the right.

The issues with the new site are based on the fact that T-Mobile now tags cookies with those preferences. Lose that, you lose your options. It's a stupid way to work a website like that. They changed it to make it simpler, but complicated it in the process. CSRs agree that it's goofy... they've had numrous calls about it during the past couple of days.
