Default New Line on Family Plan = New Phone?

I have a family plan with 2 lines as of the moment (Blackberry and G1), I want to add another line for 9.99/month. Would i be able to get a new phone for a discounted price?

Or in order to get a new phone I need the line to be worth more than 39.99/month?

Currently this is what i pay.
59.99 - Family Plan
34.99- Blackberry Data and Unlimited Message
34.99- G1 Data and Unlimited Message

Any new line that you add, is eligible for a discount, unless it was a FlexPay monthly plan.

I added a new line for my daughter a few months ago and got a new phone at full discount to go along with it

Yes you can that's what I did to get a new black berry back in april just remember all smart phones require data packages now so you will have to pay the 25 dollars and the 10 and its on the new contract agreement for that line so u can't drop it after u walk out the door

yep... any phone .. just like if you were a new customer. if you don't want data just snatch up a different phone for the extra line , that doesn't require data
