Default New BB user for Tmobile

Hi CB, noob here. soo here goes my questions (looking for just the phone not plans or carrier options)

im still deciding what device to get, either a 8900 curve or Bold 9000

now if i go with 8900 i know for sure it will work with all tmobile carriers right? even if it is unlocked or not for tMo. right?

but if i go with an unlocked bold will i have to do some tweaking to get the service right for it?

i had a At&t phone that ive unlocked and when i inserted my tmo sim i can only use the call out option, no mms, no internet, no web browsing etc. thats why im asking about the bold if this is going to be the same.

now to all BB device addicts which one is better for me a curve or a bold?

and also where is the best place to get just the phone? online?

im more on technical business type of guy, more search related on the web, more email user, more technical in every aspects. Media is just 3rd or 4th down the road for me.

thanks for any suggestions. if my questions are not understandable i apologize and will revise it.

Both are good, solid, top-of-the-line devices. Personally, I'd consider the Bold to be A#1 and the 8900 in close second...of course I own neither but, I've had a chance to try both of them out.

Good luck on your decision.

i say the 8900... hands down but havent had a chance to get ahold of the bold... are you buying the one of the phones off ebay or something? if you get a t-mobile branded 8900 you wont have to do anything but pop sim in and enjoy... and the bold should work fine as long as its on 2G? not to sure about the unlocked phones but it does seem easy enough.

Get the 8900. The Bold may be faster, but the camera is better on the 8900 and so is the battery. The Bold is meant for 3G, not EDGE. T-Mobile doesn't have 3G in all areas and an AT&T phone won't work with T-Mobile's 3G anyway. You would be buying the Bold for its processor and looks essentially.

Yea I say the 8900 as well. You'll run in to less problems getting it unlocked and setup and all that hassle. And the T-Mob staff will be better equipped to help you out if you run into any problems.
