I was only trying to educate him on the technology. My apologies, berryite, for explaining how inter-access point handoffs are utilized.
I'd also like to validate SandAngel's point of changing channels. If multiple routers within an area are all running on the same channel, interference can occur and you router signal can be interrupted. This can cause UMA to drop. Wireless G utilizes only 3 primary channels. The other channels are so close in frequency, they can also cause disruption. View all the wireless routers in your home area and what channel they are on. You would want to be on 2, 6, or 11. Whichever of them is not in use nearby.
