| | Need everyone's advice/suggestions
ok here it goes:
i currently have 11 months left in my tmobile contract, I really would like to get the curve, however; if I do so I will have to pay like $400, which is more than Im willing to spend plus the phone is almost a year old. I thought about buying from ebay, but i have never cared for buying cellphones from there. I was on the tmobile website and saw that i could add a line for an extra $9.99 a month. So Im wondering why cant i just add an extra line, choose the curve, which would allow me to get the phone for $149 and just pop my sim card in, and never bother with that other line, and it will only cost me an extra $9.99 a month. I'm thinking I might be missing something, because Im wondering will I then have 2 cellphone bills, or would my bill just be $10.00 more than what it is now

Your bill will be $10 more plus a few dollars in taxes and fees as well. You will also have a 2 year contract on the new line. You may want to hold out for the Driftwood to come out - should be here by the end of the year.

Right, your bill would be 10+ more a month, including taxes. You'd also be bound to 2 year contract...
So 10$ x 12 months = 120+ a year. So it would cost 240+ over the life of the phone. Hm.
I agree with tmd, wait for the Driftwood. It should come out in the fall.

If you are talking about curve 8320, or 8900, then you will have to get a plan that includes data to get the full discount. So, adding a line for 9.99 will not qualify you for full discount. you would have to add a line for 9.99 plus 19.99 or 34.99 for data. You only get full discount if you get some sort of a data plan, unless you decide to go with pearl, flip or curve 8520.

They have a system of checks and balances that favor the buyer and you will get what you paid for. I bought a Curve 8320 off ebay for my daughter and the phone was almost new. She has been using it fir 2 months with no problems.

Since you asked for advice.... here's what I would do: I would wait until the 11 months are over, unless there is something terribly wrong with your current phone. The curve will still be there or maybe a nicer phone will be available. I am so 'patiently' waiting for January to upgrade my phone!

I sincerely hope you don't have phone envy if a better model comes out after you get the curve. I'm gonna be reading CB very closely the next few months before I choose a new phone that I will have to live with for 2 years.

That is a complete deal killer for me. 3G Driftwood w/o UMA or 2G 8900 with UMA. That's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned and I'll be sticking with my 8900.

I thought they were currently working on the Driftwood to include UMA. It's just difficult because 3G and UMA don't play well together. I'm hoping they'll get it in though.
