Default N E way to get discount on phone w/ a flexpay account?

Hey I was wondering if there's any tricks or any way I could get a discount on a new BB 9700 if I have a flex pay account? I went n bought one last week n just after a few days it wasn't worth 500 bucks so I returned it, but they let me keep the receipt my friend keeps telling me to call asurion n tell them I lost my phone n I can use the receipt to get a 9700 that way n only pay þhe 130, pretty risky if u ask me, how would they catch me?

Part of the process that Asurion goes through, when you are doing insurance exchange, is to contact T Mobile to report the phone lost/stolen. When they get in touch with T Mobile, T Mobile will tell them that the phone is not lost/stolen and that they in fact have it in one of their stores.

Seems pretty dishonest way of getting a phone. I wouldn't listen to you friend. Asurion and Tmo aren't stupid, they communicate with each other to make sure your not scamming them.

Are you kidding me? You're asking for advice on committing fraud?

You want the phone? Suck it up and pay for it. Tell your friend to get a job too.

I purchased my 9700 at full retail because I'm on Flex-pay. Because of this, I get a lower monthly payment because I don't have to pay for phone subsidize's. Besides, we come out better in the long run! So its absolutely worth it and my 9700 is absolutely worth it. Thank you T-Mobile for offering flex-pay and the best unlimited plans out there. So to sum it up...you get the best discount by purchasing your own Berry and paying the lower monthly service fee! I'm with T-Mobile because of the plans they offer, not because I'm bound by some contract.
