Default My Touch HD

So I'm anxiously awaiting the final results when the MTHD finally arrives as to whether it will have true wifi calling. I saw a screenshot of the specs page that shows Wifi but it doesn't specify exactly what type of wifi. I am hoping for full out regular wifi and not some short version such as wifi lite.

And yeah yeah yeah i wish it was G2 i was getting but I am not about to give up my free wifi calling and i prefer full wifi calling and not Wifi Lite.

The only difference between real UMA and UMA Lite is the handoff -- meaning you can't leave the Wi-Fi area and hop onto a tower while in the middle of a call.

That's not really a deal breaker for me, as I'm rarely on the phone out the door.

I'd love to see some other phones get true UMA support. I think UMA is one of the last things keeping me on BB as a smartphone. There are several lower-end handsets that will do UMA, but no android phones -- yet.

I figure by the time my contract is up (may 2012), the Android phones will be between 1-2 GHz and have full UMA. That's when I'll next upgrade.

YES YES YES i will be trading in my MyTouch3G for the MyTouch4G...

and it will come with Wi-Fi calling but if you leave a wi-fi area the call will drop. It's same as the Wi-Fi Lite that you are speaking of it's not true UMA support.
