You might check out this post from Pinstack:

If this doesn't apply you might search some more. I remember seeing more work done there for linux.

Default almost got it going in Ubuntu 9.10
oh great, I can't post url links. so lets see if I can obfuscate it enough to get it by this machine...

go to ubuntuforums dot org, then put this after that:
/showthread.php?t=1265727&highlight=blackberry

just follow those really closely. Good luck.
