Monthly insurance is worth it IMO.
This is worth the $7 a month with T-Mobile. I got the WSOD, called customer care, they overnighted a replacement and only charged $5 to my bill. The rep explained that with the insurance, T-Mobile automatically extends your phone's warranty.
Not bad at all...If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation. - 04-17-2012, 02:36 PM #2
Depends on how many backups i have because once i got the 9900 i cut off the monthly insurance since i have never used it. I have 2 other phones in case this one breaks and it comes with a 1 year warranty automatically.

Never ever had insurance on my phones and everything is still fine.
Woman from the t-mobile shop told me to get it, 7,50 euro's each month. I though was hesitating.
But afterall i didn't took it, well maybe the luck is with me.
I though had some problems but all are solved.
I'm though careful nor clumsy at times so yeah lol.
Though i gotta say insurance is a must! - 04-18-2012, 10:53 AM #5
You didn't have to pay a deductible?
I haven't had insurance since 2010, which was when I found out that there was a $150 deductible for a bold 9700. Might as well just put $10-15 a month in a savings account and buy a used phone when yours breaks. - 05-11-2012, 12:45 AM #6
The high deductibles on higher end phones make it not worth it unless you lose it in the first 6 months of adding the insurance.
I'm pretty sure Fonzie would use a BB

if you go on the chat online and request a new phone they will send a new one my last bold was sent to me brand new and i even for the battery door that is how you know if the phone is new or not, if you make a stink they will just send you a new one i have had about 12 new blackberries with t-mobile in total that includes the like 5 bolds and many 8320's i have had over the years.

If it was software/hardware failure, you would have been under the 1 year manufacturer warranty anyways.

7.99 a month for me to insure a curve 9360, through tmobile plus a 90$ deductible. I hate paying it knowing the day I cancel the insurance is the day it breaks or is lost..
Didn't know about the 90$ deductible till I just happen to be reading through the pamphlet one day. - 07-01-2012, 12:01 AM #12
you can do the $5 warranty thing w just the $3.99 warranty part of the PHP, not the full bundle for $7.99

I've never paid a single penny for deductible with Verizon. Unless there is a water damage or a broken screen then you shouldn't have to pay anything.
