Default May be switching to T-Mobile from Sprint

Been a long time customer with Sprint but I've just about had it with Sprint and my Tour. I've gone through 6 replacement tours and each and every one has had some major issues. My latest tour screen wise and trackball wise is perfect, but if I try to use data intensively, the signal drops to zero to the point where it says "Searching for CDMA". I looked into the Bold and swung by a local T-Mobile store. I cleared the cache on both my Tour and the Bold, had wi-fi off on the bold and gave it a comparison run. The Bold flat out whipped on my Tour in every aspect. I decided to buy the phone since I have 30 days to decide if I like it. When I came home, my Bold still had full 3G signal, and once again I did the same test. Again, the Bolt beat the crap out of my Tour. I showed the rep at the store and he was flat out amazed at the speed of the Bold compared to my Tour. So now I need to convince Sprint to let me go ETF free...ha, we shall see. Prior to me getting the Bold, I called sprint about my issues and all they wanted to do was throw a refurbed phone to me and call it a day; I politely declined on a refurb. Anyhow, just my little rant and praise.

I just made the switch today from Sprint to T-mobile. The bold is 10x better then the 3 Tours i went through. Im getting full 3g so far with T-mobile. You can get out of the ETF by using the .20 cent fee increase for your reasoning.

The Bold is a better device than the Tour. I had the Tour on Verizon and it was crap. Went through a few replacements.

Oh my, you are a godsend. I tried it and it worked. They didn't even give me the slightest bit of a hassle.

That's awesome. Glad you were able to get out of your contract easily!

Welcome to T-Mobile. I've been with them for a while but I am getting my Bold tomorrow. It's going to be great!

OP - welcome, I made the same decision you made and for the SAME reasons but I did it months ago on Black Friday. Keep in mind that you only have 14 days until you can return the phone to T-Mobile. It's weird, but their policy is different and has a shorter "testing" period than the other wireless carriers.

I am thinking of making the switch to tmobile myself. I love the form factor of the 9700 opposed to the tour. I feel like CDMA carriers get the shaft when it comes to blackberry's. I want to switch but does tmobile charge extra outside of their unlimited talk, text, web plan if you have a blackberry?

No, nothing extra. Whatever phone you use the data plan is included in the price

It seems TMO is taking customers away from the other carriers. To those that made the switch, welcome aboard the TMO Express!

Default So for you tmo newbies

For you converts, be sure to look into the $10 UMA option...It is the ability for the phone to place calls using your wireless internet at home/work/public free of charge...It can have a major impact on the # of minutes you need (in most cases drastically reducing them)...Read up on it...Bold with the 5.0 OS is wonderful with it!!!
