Default Loyalty Plan Ending

I called customer service today to get some pricing plan info for a friend of mine who we're porting away from another carrier over to T-Mobile. I asked how long my friend would have to be a customer before she would qualify for the "loyalty plan" ($49.95/unlimited voice for tenured T-Mobile customers).

The T-Mobile customer rep told me that plan was ending and would not really be available anymore.

Of course, those of us who have it are grandfathered and don't lose it. But if you qualify and haven't taken advantage of it, you might want to sign up now because it isn't looking like it's going to be offered anymore.

Well the $39.99 deal now is still pretty sweet. Maybe not the same as unlimited but still nice

Thanks for the info, but I'll stick to the 300 minutes plan for 30 bucks. Since they threw in MyFaves, I'm not even getting close to that limit anymore.

Agreed. I downgraded FROM myfaves to just the straight 300 mins. My cycle ends tomorrow and I still have 90 minutes left. Now SMS on the other hand... unlimited, and I actually NEED unlimited lol.

I haven't heard about this yet. I've heard about other parts of the loyalty offer ending, but not the plan itself. I'll have to look into this when I get back to the store tomorrow.

I believe the plan itself is not ending... but I think the 135 port in credit is. I may have this wrong.. but for sure the plan isn't ending
new customer are not eligible for this plan to begin with..

I've read from some tech news sites that the Loyalty plan is ending by end of july. It won't be offered anymore.

I'm glad I got the plan back in feb.

Yeah, you should be fine. It's on your account and it will take effect automatically. No issue.

I've been on the loyalty plan for about 2-3 months now. I got on it the same time I upgraded my phone from a sidekick to a BB. It was the wisest decision I have ever made. I'm a 19 year old teenager interning for a growing marketing & advertisement company. A TEENAGE GIRL with a cell phone is bad enough. Then there is also college. Lots of new #'s to be exchanged there. The unlimited minutes and data plans really helped me out a lot. My mother was so estatic when she saw the bill that month. We worked out a deal to where if it goes over $100 I would have to take up what's left after the 100. The myfaves plan may work for people that bought the phone for their own personal use and enjoyment, but when you include business AND college, YOUR SCREWED. Now my bill is less than $90 a month w/ unlimited data, email, and text. The blackberry curve 8900 w/ the loyalty plan is the ultimate combination for any girl trying to survive in college, or any woman in this chaotic business world of ours. It will be sad to see plan go. Oh well. lol. Next step? HOW DO YOU WORK IT W/ A MAC??????? UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, a marketing internship? Very impressive! Good luck! Yeah, you'll def need the Loyalty Plan. I bet you make good use out of it.

Here's Blackberry's official support page for those who want to use BB with a mac. It will give you the info and options you need.

IS it $49.95 unlimited voice and data? How long do you need to have been a customer to take advantage of this?
