Default Loyalty Plan and Corporate Discount

I am getting a 1.5% discount on the unlimited loyalty plan and 15% on my added on features. They told me that since the loyalty plan is already discounted they can not give me my full corporate discount. This sounds different from what they told me at first which was I could stack the discounts on each other. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yet another poster no one has ever heard of with a handful of posts showing up with this out-of-left-field claim.

If you are a serious poster, my apologies but we're seeing too much of this.

You don't get to "stack" discounts on top of discounts and it's hardly credible that that would be something you'd laser in on and ask when someone first gives you a corporate discount. ... "Yeah that corporate discount is cool but next year if you guys offer an unlimited loyalty plan for customers, do I get to sock it to you and demand that you give me both discounts?"

Doesn't pass the smell test.

Take the corporate discount or take the loyalty discount but you don't get both.

I was asking if anyone else had run into the same issue. I believe T-Mobile told me before I switched that I could stack the discounts, but I was not 100% sure so I thought I would ask people who know more than I do. Hence me coming to post here even though I don't post that often. If my issue is not important to you then ignore it, but there is no reason to get snappy with me when I am asking for help.

Chadwick,

I too was getting 10% off my whole bill at one time. I got the Loyalty plan back in February and then added the discount sometime in March I think. I got my full discount each month until July-ish when it no longer applied to my Loyalty plan. I still get 10% off my other stuff though, like my data and texts.

This change was applied to everyone who had discounts with
Loyalty. At first they worked and people were told that they would work, and now they don't. I can understand your frustration. I was a little P.O.'d too but even without a discount it's still the best plan available.

I'm on the loyalty plan with a military 15% discount on everything. Awesome to have for 5 lines. No other promos accepted though. Still, far better than anyone else's deals.

You could do a search and see that this was already covered.

And you are not going to convince me that you had the "great forethought" to question whether you could stack discounts on top of discounts when you signed up for your original plan and then had a T-Mobile rep assure you that any creative pricing you want to dream up is ok when we all know that any rep from any carrier is going to be especially wary of commiting to anything they can't guarantee.

I get 15 percent corporate discount and a grossly discounted unlimited minute plan and THAT 15 percent comes off the low unlimited minute price. I pay a little more than 40 per month for unlimited voice. Let's not even discuss what the data plan rates are. Not everyone/every company has the same deal with T-Mobile. Unless you are an account manager and know the facts of all T-Mobile contracts, stop spouting like the expert of all things T-Mobile. And really, was it so bad that this guy asked if anyone else stacked discounts? Really?

Just curious Shake, but what discount do you have?
That's a really sweet deal for you! I was under the impression that everyone was losing the discounts on the plan but I guess I was wrong!

HMMM I don't see this poster asking anwhere how to mooch a discount.

Seems to me just asking what happened.

Yes it was asked before but so what. Not exactly reason for a free for all to be obnoxious.

To answer the original OP question.... yes ... that is what happened to most everyone who had corporate with loyalty. Kind of frustrating if you are told that is what you would be getting... but they always have the fine print saying they can change up the rules... so nothing you can really do about it.

yeah I know But I myself ask the stupidest questions sometimes where the answer is right in front of my face... so I tend to lean toward forgiving

Wow.

I'm shocked.

Ok, Larry. IMHO, you are always fair and objective. So I have a challenge for you. Not necessary to act on this right away. Give yourself all the time you need, but my challenge for you is this ...

Create a post in the 8900 forum comparing the 8900 with your new iToy ... errr I mean iPhone (ya know I'm just teasing ya about the "iToy," lol). But seriously a very thorough comparison with the good, the bad and the ugly. No holds barred. The brutal facts, like 'em or not. The strengths of each device and then your final overall evaluation of which device is on an overall basis the better device.

Now don't be influenced by Forbes Magazine who just ran a HUGE edition forecasting a war between RIM and Apple for dominance of the SmartPhone market. And of course they did make a prediction of who would win (it wasn't Apple).

No what we're looking for here is your "unvarnished" take-it-or-leave-it" evaluation and comparison of both devices by you ... a guy who has now owned both.

So whaddya think? Up for the challenge my friend?

Berryite & Shake,

Take it to PM!

Folks,

I had to delete 6 posts! Remember ......

...... from our Posting Rules & Guidelines.....

Post in the Right Forum
We’ve done our best to layout the forum categories so they are logical and make sense. When you are creating a new thread, do your best to get it in the right category. We want these forums to be value added and educational. The General CrackBerry Discussion and General RIM/BlackBerry Discussion are good places to post if you have a serious question but are not quite sure where to put it. These forums are less stringently moderated, while specific forums (BlackBerry 8700 Series for example) are more strictly moderated to maintain their quality and usefulness.

And of course, we also have the Off-Topic Discussion forum. This is the place on the site to have fun and talk about whatever. From sports to the weather to what to buy your girlfriend for her birthday (buying her a new blackberry is always a good thing), anything goes in here. Just remember to keep it clean, keep it productive and keep it legal!

Make Meaningful Posts
While CrackBerry.com is geared as much towards entertaining and connecting the Crackberry community as it is to helping solve problems and staying on top of news and rumors, all posts made within the site should be value added and on topic to the thread (even in the free for all). Hijacking a thread off-topic is a big No-No, and posts made for no reason other than to increase post count will be wiped from the site.

Personal Attacks
Do not flame, insult or post personal attacks against other users. Be courteous, not rude. Any instances or reports of harassment of members will be treated seriously. CrackBerry.com has a zero tolerance policy against this kind of behavior, which may result with an immediate temporary or permanent ban at moderators' discretion. CrackBerry.com is a friendly place - treat members with respect at all times. If you don't have something nice to say, do not say it!

Reporting a bad post
There is a "Report bad post" button on the top right side of each post (red/white triangle) or you can send a PM to a moderator.

We now return you to your regularly schedule thread already in progress!
