Maybe if you do a contract renewal they can hook you up? I guess anything is worth a try, they normally offer long time customers deals on their my.t-mobile site.

That price is already with new Activation. Why don't you try to "threaten to cancel" and they may even give you a better deal with the 8900...

Call them up, ask them nicely odds are you'll get one, I see a lot of posts, including myself who got the upgrade for more than 50% off the original upgrade price.

I called back the deal is actually for $249 W/$100 mail in rebate.
I have heard of people getting way better deals. I'm going to call back and see what else they can do.

Wink

They should work with you! T-Mobile is a good company. Plus the economy is too bad right now to lose a faithful customer.

Anybody talking price on here deducts the MIR. WallyWorld online is offering cheaper prices through let's talk. I couldn't do it because I didn't want to wait for my 8900 to come in the mail.

I believe the Loyalty Department only deals with plans/services, and can't hook you up with deals on phones.

Definitely it depends on your attitude, you can get it for 150 or even 99 depending on the situation

I actually talked with a supervisor recently stressing my contract is up regardless in less than 3 months and i could just wait and get the 8900 for 20 dollars and haggle my way out of the activation fee. It was from wirefly.com, and after i said this she admitted it was true and actually offered me the phone for free and all i had to pay was shipping. 9 dollars for the 8900 is not a bad deal along with 2 months free of use for the data plan "to see if i like it" and i got the extra month since my birthday is coming up.

Their new trick is to call you a loyal customer.
When you want a deal ask CS for a LC supervisor

I recently left Verizon to come back to T-Mob.

I have another line with T-Mob since 2003.
When I brought my number from Verizon, they gave me the 8900 for $249 plus $100 rebate, free activation $135 customer loyalty and we have a family plan for $89 unlimited calls, night n weekends and nation wide LD, and 400 txt.
$19 for the BB plan

Total of $110 a month which the company picks up.

with Verizon I had 1 line 700 min, 250 text, BB plan and it cost $125 .
