That's awesome! What phone are you using? I'm happy with mine. My speeds increased even though I have a 9700. It's half of what you get.

The 9700 should be capable of 3.6 (or similar) Mbps...right? Other 3g T-Mobile phones can manage double that...and the E73 can supposedly get up to 10.2Mbps. Of course, the network is not quite up to that speed yet, but I have gotten to around 4 in Houston and Atlanta in the HD2...just slightly less with the Nexus One but still very fast. It really feels way faster than those speed ratings suggest too...the difference between the just under 1mbps I get where I am tonight and the 4Mbps I sometimes see downtown is staggering.

Also, the OP has a Google Ion listed in his profile. He's using what is essentially a MyTouch 3g.

the current line up of android and windows mobile support HSPA+. That is why we are able to get faster speeds. you are partially correct and there are no phones that support the full 21Mbps that HSPA+ is able to provide.
