Default just got off phone with TMO

Sticking with myfav 300. Would cost me extra $20 a month to go unlimited everything. The everything plus plan would cost me 79.99 but would have to pay early termination fee cause of breaking contract. No would on 9700 yet just before holiday season. All and all not very earth scatterering.

Talked to another rep and now I have the plus plan for 79.99. Not bad of a jump from the fav300 for a $5 a month increase. Just have to pay a one time $35 fee. They are now able to do the 20 month equipment upgrade too. Here I come 9700.

I talked to a rep and have the + plan for 79.99 too. No 200 ETF fee because I'm still under contract...I'll just be able to continue my contract on the + plan. I saved 5 bucks.

My current plan is $50 unlimited talk & $35 unlimited data/messaging...

I just went through the motions on the website to buy the plus plan and when I got to services and looked at "blackberry unlimited web + messaging" the price is $40. That's 5 bucks more than the plan I have...

What's up with that!?

I'd be losing money with the (comparable) Plus Plan (or whatever it' called). Not gonna do it....

...but when I pick up the 9700 on my upgrade are they going to MAKE me change my plan? And is my unlimited web going to be $40 instead of $35?

P.S. Just found out about this from someone on crackberry (forgot who) if any of you are in college call T-Mobile and let them know your college and student ID and you get 15% off the monthly bill!

Generally, they grandfather your existing rate plan when there is an increase. I know several people here were paying the old $19 data plus $10 unlimited text messaging not the $35/mo for unlimited data & txt.

Upgraded to $99 unlimited plan, the great thing about this is, I get full discount when I upgrade to 9700 and the rep said, I can lower it back down to $79 after I upgrade my device. Sweet deal!

I wish this would save me money, but it won't, I'll be sticking with what I have.

I live in Puerto Rico, and I am on a grandfathered SunCom calling plan. TMO began offering service here in Sept. 08, son anyone who had their plans grandfathered to a TMO one at that time, would have to pay the ETF. So I guess these new plans will either not be offered here as of today, or will scare their current customer base to death... LOL!

You mind telling us more about how that'd work?

I'm on the loyalty family plan + BISx2, have an 8900 but am looking to upgrade to the 9700, and need to figure out what my best plan of action is. At first glance, I'm inclined to do nothing, but your comment made me think I may have some options.

Thanks!

I'm currently on the Family loyalty plan
1st 2 lines -
$89.98 unlimited voice
$19.99 bis x 2
3rd line
39.99 unlimited voice
$9.99 for unlimited text covering all 3 lines on the account.

Would it be better/cheaper for me to switch to one of the new plans? Sorry for asking but I'm on the road right now and am unable to check online!

I'd you are still in contract (even over a year) you can call in today and get on even more + plans WITHOUT ETF. It's a promo that's going on for today only to encourage current customers to move on over. Loyalty reps have confirmed this for me. So hurry!!
