Default Just did a speed test...and

this is the speed result I got:

Nice!
Your speed is faster than the average for your ISP!

The average speed for your ISP (Blackberry-RIM) is 1323.68 kbps. Your speed is 3019 kbps.

How fast are the other carriers?

Sprint average speed: 562.45 kbps

Verizon average speed: 467.34 kbps

AT&T average speed: 1115.98 kbps

T-Mobile average speed: 1377.32 kbps

Alltel average speed: 930.84 kbps

Metro PCS average speed: 278.52 kbps

I know that BIS goes through a proxy server so it doesn't reflect or give an accurate speed test, but the numbers looks good...

The most accurate results I've gotten are from the Speedtest app on BB App World. It doesn't use the browser so it's unaffected by choice of browser or by BIS/BES/WAP/Bolt/Opera/... gateway caching. I normally see Speedtest d/l speeds of 100-200kbps on EDGE and 2-3Mbps on UMA.

I'm within "line of sight" of the local T-Mobile mast, and I've been told that my local mast is not working properly, I've been dropping 30-40 calls per day (sometimes unable to hold calls for more than mere minutes) and I think my 3G tests further prove the point.

Max. Download Speed: 213.84Kbits/s

It's literally "Speedtest" by Extreme Labs. I can't remember what category it was under.
