Default I've had EDGE for 2 years, but now only get GPRS
I've had edge for 2 years straight at my house and never once had GPRS for as long as I could remember but now all I get is GPRS. I even had edge today morning but it just switched to GPRS for the first time. I have an 8900 on tmobile in buffalo NY, I also checked my sisters unlocked iPhone and she too only gets GPRS now. Did tmobile do somethign with their service? Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is probably an issue best handled by you carriers Customer Service dept.

It might be problems with tmobile. My sister got GPRS all afternoon. We were in north San DIego county.

I live in buffalo,ny , I've always had edge until today, now I only get GPRS, if you thought edge was slow, wait till you try GPRS, it's about half the speed of edge

Mine is more of a tmobile problem since bis works fine but I no longer get edge, just GPRS on both my 8900 and my sister's iPhone

Sounds like a temporary issue with coverage or something. If you had EDGE in your area prior to this, don't worry, you won't stay with GPRS for long.

I guess il just have to wait, GPRS is really annoying me know, il just have to use wifi while I'm at home then

having the same prob. have had EDGE coverage 4 all my bb's, 2 wks ago went 2 GPRS. just tlked 2 t-moilbe, they said that they sent a rep out 2 my area, tower is in need of replacement, but is not in their budget as of right now. i can go down the street, or about 5 blks to 28 mi, and get EDGE bck.

Okay, I got my edge back last night and its staying strong. I guess it was just a tower problem, thanks for the responses
