Question internet plan problem

i'm now using a 8900 on tmobile network.

i bought my phone online, and before changing to 8900 i was using nokia 5700 with "smartphone unlimited web."

now i find that with this internet plan, i can only get access to internet through the default browser, and i cannot use gmail applications or im's. like if i try to login msn, the prompt says "service not enabled for this handheld"

is it because me not using the blackberry unlimited web plan?

thx

Correct, you have the wrong plan.
You need the BB pushed unlimited Internet (and email) plan

It won't work fully unless you have the appropriate BB plan.

Doesn't the smartphone plan cost the same as the BB one now? (24.99)

You can also use the BB plan in other smartphones if you like to swap SIM cards.

Yes, you need the proper service books, and since you don't have a BIS plan, you need CS to provision the BB Feature Enabler, but its getting harder and harder to get CS to do that if you have any non BIS data plan on that line. Alternatively you could try getting the service books from another phone which has BIS on it. Never tried it myself but read: Service Book (BlackBerry Without BIS)
