Default If You Have a Sidekick

Bad news for Sidekick owners.

Heard about it on the news, figured some might have questions.

Yep, I heard about this.

Most sidekick owners lost their info...no way to get it back. I can really see Sidekick being dead after this.

This would be a really good time for Blackberry to come out with something with a full keyboard like the sidekick and a flip screen, call it the FlipKick or something stupid... lol as a replacement. I say, Microsoft, who owns and operates the Danger network is a bunch of clowns if they had no backup... c'mon seriously??? It's hurting T-Mobile more then MS or "Danger" at this point.

I've been following some SK forums that I've frequented in the past and it seems that many SK users are jumping ship to iPhone or Andriod devices.

I think they'll be happy with them though. Sidekicks were just way too limited.

I hope everyone who read about the SideKick debacle went straight to their DM and pulled a backup. If you didn't, what are you waiting for?

Sidekicks are the WORST devices. Personal opinion anyway - I had mine for three days and kicked the thing to the curb. It's so locked up, you can't use your own pictures as wallpaper without jumping through hoops, can only use their themes, etc. Total P.I.T.A.!

It is a huge inconvenience to those who need them i.e. the deaf/hard of hearing community, but at the same time, they would probably have tons more freedom with a different device...

I know this is awful, but watching Perez Hilton go nuts over his lost data/contacts is kinda funny.

Indeed! I'm also a Deaf Crackberry addict and have been a BB user since 2005. I went from SK1, SK2, SK3 then switched right over to 8700g, 8320 and now I have a Storm. Oh did I just say, "Storm?" Yep, I currently own a Storm and It's definitely not Deaf/HOH user friendly because of its touchscreen keyboard. A hard lesson learned. But hey, at least it's a Blackberry! Right??
