Default I got the Vibrant!!!!

Just picked it up....phone is rediculous, best droid ive ever seen and ive seen and played with them all for work. Anyways i switched from a tour with sprint to the Vibrant with Tmobile. 3g is wicked fast. Now im going to run some errands so lets see how Tmobile covers the scape, my main concern before purchase....anybody with a blackberry saying androids lack productivity...try the galaxy s phones..I was one to say the same and now my mind is totally sold on the touchwiz 3.0. I have a thread in the 9630 forum if anyone wants a more detail description or any questions about the two phones comparison or the two service...thanks

I've gone into the Tmo store a few times to look at the Vibrant and it is amazing. Enjoy!

I'm tempted to go with the Vibrant. I'm no sold on a touchscreen only device. I really want a physical keyboard.

At times I do miss the hardware keyboard. But once you get a feel of android OS and start customizing your phone to how you want it and see what works. You really start to fly on it. I had trouble at first with the software keyboard till I downloaded some new keyboard skins and it totally boosted my efficiency. The 4" screen is plenty of room to type on and doesn't feel too cramp and seems like a sweet spot for the new smartphones. Not to small not too large.

Congrats on the new phone. I went from 8900 to incredible and in the beginning I missed the keyboard but now I don't. I use an app called shape writer. It works like swype.

My husband just went from his Blackberry (Pearl flip) to a Vibrant.

Warning...it is apparently addictive. He's had a blast rooting it and doing all sorts of mods. It's worse than football, as far as his attention goes.

Seriously though, he loves it. Seems very good and stable. He prefers no keyboard, and has learned to use Swype pretty well.

I've been wanting to wait to see if the Torch comes to T-Mobile, but you are giving very solid arguments for upgrading to the Vibrant. I just need to see what the upgrade price will be for me since my contract doesn't run out until Jan or Feb of next year.

MamaBee, I know I'll be rooting it if I get it

I'm glad you're happy with the Vibrant. I am. No lag, great battery life.. Super AMOLED display, 16GB internal memory.. there is a lot to love.

I most likely getting this phone, looks very nice... Should run PS1 emulator and other emulators with ease. Also what people always mistake is that it is not called Droid, Droid was the first popular Android phone, the Operating System is called Android, so it is:
"By far the best Android phone"

I think some people are using "'Droid" as a shorcut to saying "Android". I hear it all the time from people, even those in the IT field.

Same here. It aggravates me when customers want "The Droid" and I explain that Android is the software, which we've had almost two years. They then ask for the Droid again.

I love my Vibrant! I think Swipe will go viral. I thought "no way" but it is way easier than double-thumbs. Then again, I never had nor wanted a physical qwerty. I got an iphone 2G to play with about a month ago and loved it. After a week I paid TMO a visit to check out all of the latest "droids" and IMO the i2G smoked them all as far as basic operation (maybe not screen). Then I fried my i swapping out the bad battery and got a trip to TMO as a birthday gift a week and a half ago. I said "OK what do you have that compares to the iphone". They showed me the Vibrant so I took the 2-week test drive. UNBELIEVABLE! Best Buy is pre-ordering the Verizon version "Fascinate" now and I will be going with either one of these, no swaying me now. TMO is still the better deal but V's 3G map is tempting. The TVout feature was icing I and look forward to UMA. I think the standard screen protector that TMO pushes actually degrades (pixelates) the image so I may go with Zagg skin.
