Default I am so lucky!

So here I am using my BB then all of the sudden the BB makes this weird noise, the screen goes blank and then nothing....a second later comes back on but its just a white screen nothing else I am pretty sure that my BB has died and since I dont want to mess around with it, I called T-mo and explained them the situation, to my surprise they told me that a dead BB voids the warranty..is this true?

If your carrier is AT&T, why would you be calling T-Mobile?

If you bought the Blackberry new at a store, it's under warranty. Did they give a reason for the void? Have you tried reloading the OS with the Desktop Manager? Try calling back another rep. If you have continued problems, email me directly and I will try to help.

Yes I bought it at the store, I told the lady who "helped me" that I should have a year warranty, then she said that a dead BB is the result of liquid damage or water damage and that voids the warranty, I told her that I have not dropped the BB on water or anything and she just told me that she can sell me another BB at full retail price. I have not done anything to it, I am afraid that I might messed it up..then it will be my fault..thanks I will.

There is an internal sensor on BlackBerrys (most other phones too) that show if a phone has been in contact with water. That is a pretty black and white call. I'd take it into the store and ask for an exchange. If they give you any guff, I'd demand they show you the water sensor and demonstrate where it shows there was water damage.

Norris is also a great guy so his offer to help was nice and I'd take him up on it.

I went to the store where I got it and they gave me a new one, they told me that I have a year's warranty, a dead BB doesn't void the warranty, I did not had liquid damage and that the person who helped me was wrong, she should have just tell me that I can go either to the store or get a replacement at the store.....now thanks to my mistake I will be like a week without my BB due to the fact that my sister took it to Canada by mistake...but at least my problem was resolved!.

I hate when that happens. LOL.

Glad you got it all ironed out. Although I couldn't be without my BlackBerry for a week.

She was checking a phone number but for some reason instead of giving it back to me she put her on her handbag!, the only good thing is that my sister takes really good care of her phones.

Berryrite: I think she'll just wait to return back home and give it to him. ("Toughing up quit worrying is just ONE week") haha I can so see that coming. If it were me I would be quite sad.
