Default hspa+ capable BB?

my next phone on tmo for sure will have to be able to support the hspa+ network (the full 21mbps). this is a major requirement for me.

now, are any future BB going to support hspa+?

i believe this kind of stuff is up to the carrier to decide. anyone know or got any details?

i know tmo is in midst of launching their hspa+ network and a slew of hspa+ android phones, but does any one have any word about hspa+ BB?

i sure hope tmo puts it onto the 9780.

As of this moment in time (5:52EST July/29/2010) T-Mobile has only released one (1) news press about a HSPA+ phone. And it is the HTC MyTouchHD... an android phone.

an all the existing androids are HPSA+ compliant.... but not the fully 7.2Mbps that we should be seeing

i dont think you understand.

i am AGREEING with you. mytouchhd is the first phone to support hspa+, BUT there are others coming too that are rumored to support hspa+ too, like the phones mentioned above.

I haven't heard about any new BBs compatible with hspa+ yet but I'll keep my ears open.

If it makes you feel better, your current BB (Bold, I'm assuming) does not support HSPA+ but you will see increased speeds in HSPA+ areas. You just won't go over the 3.6Mpbs speed that the phone allows for by hardware.

i havent heard anything about hspa+ capable BB's either, which is disheartening for me.

i am currently using a 8100, but im going to upgrade to a 3g device as soon as a nice one comes out. but if i am upgrading in about 3-4 months, i want to get a phone that will for sure support hspa+ since tmo is rolling it out. this is a must. why? because ill be sporting that phone for a full 2 years, and i need a phone that will last and keep me happy when they start rolling out lte and other crazy beast phones.

9100, Its up to RIM to make a compliant Berry that handle true HSPA+. I don't see it happening as RIM is shooting for LTE.

just because the phone is able to run @ 21Mbps download doesn't mean the network will output it @ that speed.

You can own a Corvette which will run 150+MPH, but the speed limit is 60MPH.... kinda the same thing.
