Could be a SIM card problem or a problem with your phone. I'd change the SIM first and if that doesn't improve things, get a phone exchange.

Let's trouble shoot.

Did you receive a new SIM card when you purchased this phone? If you are using one you've had for years, you may have a card that doesn't support advanced features.

Have you installed any apps lately that have been from third party sites? They could possibly interfere with phone function (no one's perfect).

Have you done a hard reset to see if it will correct the problem (battery pull, alt shift delete)?
