Angry How to get cheapest upgrade price 9780?

I have been through so much suffering from TMO recently with ordering my 9780. I'll try to make this quick just to get some idea of my frustrating situation.

Ordered a Blackberry 9780, wasnt going to get here in the time the guy originally told me after i got the tracking number, i called back and had them intercept the package from ups, paid for another one and had it overnighted, got that one, used it for a week, checked account and noticed i had two extra lines on my account

I should only have one account, they tell me they can remove that first added on line when they get back and process the first phone, but i need to also send them the one im using to get that second line off, along with a refund for both after 30 damn days.

Get loner phone form store, tell me to bring back in 14 days and i will have no charge on account, bring back in 3 days, i still to this moment have a $50 charge on the account (was told by a rep store returns take longer to post, but i returned it about 3 weeks ago....come on...really?!?).

I've been without a blackberry and paying for data still, i apparently have to PAY them for the time period that I used the phone on this other 2nd line, even though i was using my old sim and not the new one. Account is still jacked. Nobody ever gets anything done every single time i call, its just never ending redirecting and apologies.

I want my 9780 back on my original number.....Typing all of this makes me want to cry.

Does anyone else think I deserve a GREATLY discounted phone or is it just me? Borderline, should be free. Please give me input

PS: Store is no help either since I did this over the phone. I've tried to get them to help me, but they say I need to speak with them since I started with them...

Also, customer for 2 years before this incident.

Call them and tell them you want to leave and go to another carrier, they will put you through to Retentions and I have seen and have been told that's where you can get deep discounts on phones and things. But everyone's experience is different.

I did this before with them and they started actually just attempting to cancel my service...which I do not want to do.

Is it common knowledge that I will inevitably get a better deal haggling over the phone than I will with going in person? I've been blackberry less for almost a month now and am beyond tempted to just strut into a store and demand a cheap 9780.

You have been suffering because you cancelled your first order. T-Mobile did not
force you to do that, so why do you expect a discounted or free phone? All of this
is your own fault, and I don't blame Customer Service at all.

Next time, buy your phone at a store. You pay for it in person, and don't have to
wait to get it shipped to your home.

First off, i canceled the first order because I was told something separate from what was actually being delivered to me, so that was in NO WAY my fault in the slightest. I then pay for another phone, PAY overnight shipping so it gets here when I was originally told for the first one so I can have it before I leave for a few months, and am told that I cannot use the phone after being told I could? I don't see how i'm not the victim here....

..also, I tried going to the store to do all of this, but since I am through a business line, they said doing over the phone would be the best option/pricing. I am still out money and have been paying for data that is not even being used.

I doubt that you will get anything by making demands. Try being polite and reasonable.

Oh I tried that, it led to nothing. I start with being patient and polite, but by the time everything is said and done, they do nothing to remedy the situation. Every single time I leave a conversation with them, they leave a notation on my account. Then, when I call back, they say that they do not have a notation of certain things i'm saying.

If you never cancelled your first order, none of this would have happened. You
are a victim of your own impatience.

All the ranting in the world won't get you a free phone.

Yes, I'm sure that they do put a notation on your account, NO FREE PHONE, agent name
and date.

I don't think you understand.

Regardless if I was being "impatient" or not, I was told my phone was going to get there by a certain day, and it was not. Its my fault though? The fact that I had a flight to catch is now my fault because they gave me false info?

Also, the phone they were sending me regardless was for another line...a new line of service...Even if I was to receive the phone, I would of had to send it back in order to have that line removed form my account.

This is the same thing that happened with the second line, they sent it to me under a new line, which should had just been an upgrade. I made this very clear to them.

It looks like you don't communicate as clearly as you think you do. Good luck trying to sort it out.

I agree with the other posters. You caused this yourself. The fact you say you had a trip for a few weeks to get to is total BS. You are just saying that to attempt to cover your impatience. You will not get anywhere with your rants, demands, and lack of clear communication. You had it right when you went into the store, and then you let someone else tell you otherwise. Obviously that was wrong information. Best of luck to you....

My upgrade price was $89 (after I send in for $50 Mail-In-Rebate)...

I'm not sure why your thread title is about the upgrade price... It seems your issue is with them charging you for usage while you don't have a phone, no?

There's a lot of confusing things in your story... What do you mean "extra lines on your account"? How can you have extra lines? You only have one phone #, right? They are shipping you phones that require a SIM Card to use them... the SIM Cards that ship with the phones are not active until you activate them.... By "lines", do you somehow mean charges on your bill or something? Why would you have to ship back the phone you had overnighted to you to remove a charge? Wasn't that what you wanted? Why does that go back to them? Seems to me the only phone that had to be returned was the one that originally shipped to you and wasn't going to reach you in time, which you said they put a "stop shipment" on...

Your profile says you currently own a blackberry, no?... And you are talking about "upgrading"... So how do you not have a phone that you're paying data for? Don't you currently have a plan with T-Mobile? What exactly are you paying for that you aren't getting to use right now?
